Apple collaboratively works alongside Samsung and LG to develop an iPhone that boasts a truly bezel-less design.

  • Apple is reportedly working on a new iPhone with no bezels and no notch for an edge-to-edge viewing experience.
  • The tech giant is collaborating with Samsung and LG for the development of a bezel-less, notch-less display.
  • The upcoming iPhone is expected to position the camera and sensors below the display, eliminating the need for a notch.

Apple’s Ongoing Design Evolution

Apple has been at the forefront of smartphone design innovation since the release of the iPhone 10 in 2017. The introduction of thin side bezels and the distinctive notch marked a significant shift in smartphone aesthetics. With the subsequent iPhone 14 Pro series, the company further modified the notch design with what they called a “dynamic island.” However, it appears that Apple is not done refining its design, as it aims to create an iPhone that offers an edge-to-edge viewing experience without any bezels or notches.

Collaboration with Samsung and LG

Leakster Ice Universe recently revealed that Apple is in talks with Samsung and LG to develop a truly bezel-less, notch-less iPhone. Despite the collaboration, the tech giant plans to stick with flat panels rather than adopting curved displays, which are popular among many Android competitors.

One of the main challenges with a bezel-free iPhone is accidental touches due to its sleek and uninterrupted design. Apple will have to address this issue while ensuring a seamless user experience.

The Future of Notch-Less iPhones

According to the source, Apple’s plan is to position the front-facing camera and other necessary sensors beneath the display, similar to Samsung’s approach with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. This development indicates a promising step towards achieving a completely notch-less design.

While the specific launch date of the bezel-less, notch-less iPhone remains unknown, it’s reasonable to assume that it may take Apple another year or so to finalize and release this cutting-edge design.

Upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Series

Before we witness the launch of the highly anticipated bezel-less iPhone, Apple is gearing up for the introduction of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series in September of this year. Reports suggest that all four models will retain the same display sizes as their predecessors, including 6.1 inches for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The new iPhone 15 series is also expected to feature a dynamic island notch that can change its size based on notifications, allowing for a more immersive and distraction-free experience.
