As of 2021, Mahindra’s XUV700 mid-sized SUV was available in India. The new Mahindra XUV700 has gotten a resounding thumbs up from the automotive community. More than 1.5 million people have expressed interest in the new model. Nearly a million customers have yet to receive their new vehicles. As of this writing, there is a two-year waiting list for the SUV.

Supply chain issues and a lack of semiconductor chips are putting Mahindra at a disadvantage. The XUV700’s feature set has also undergone some revisions thanks to the domestic automaker. Several features have been removed from the entry-level MX to the top-spec AX7 L by Mahindra.

Entry-level MX models have been stripped of features such as the rear parking sensors, height adjustable driver’s seat, following me home headlights, and rear spoiler. No longer available as options on Mahindra XUV700 AX3 models are rear wiper and defogger as well as doors and boot lid selective unlock.

In the AX5 and AX7 trims, the LED sequential turn indicators have been removed. Adaptive cruise control is not available on the top-of-the-line AX7 L Manual model. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go is only available on the top-spec AX7 L Automatic trim, which now includes normal cruise control. Additionally, the AX7 L model has LED sequential turn indicators.
Specifications of the Mahindra XUV700
The MX and AX versions of the new mid-size SUV are both available. There is only a 5-seat layout available on the X trim; however, there are 5 and 7-seat options on the AX trim. Additional features such as wireless phone charging, electric door handles, an electronic parking brake, and a blind spot monitor can be added to the AX7 automatic’s Luxury package.
There are two engine choices for the new Mahindra XUV700: a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine. A torque converter automatic or a six-speed manual transmission are both available. The gasoline engine is capable of producing 200 horsepower and 380 nm of peak torque. Both the 155bhp and 360Nm and 185bhp and 420Nm diesel powertrains are available. Torque increases to 450Nm with an automatic gearbox. 4 driving modes are available on the AX diesel models: Zip, Zoom, Custom.
