Maruti Suzuki’s new mid-size SUV, the Grand Vitara, will be released on July 20. The new SUV will be sold at Nexa stores, and pre-orders for the new SUV started today for Rs 11,000 each.
Maruti Suzuki’s new SUV will be called the “Grand Vitara” and will be a step up from the recently released “Brezza.” The Grand Vitara was made through a partnership between Toyota and Suzuki. It will share its frame with the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hybrid. But we expect the Grand Vitara to have a different look on the outside and different colors. Also, the SUV will be made at Toyota’s plant in Bidadi, Karnataka, along with the Hyryder.
The Grand Vitara is most likely to have a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, an electric sunroof, and leatherette upholstery.
The Grand Vitara’s best feature will be its choice of hybrid powertrains, which can be either mild or strong. Like the Hyryder, it will probably have a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid gasoline engine with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission. For the strong hybrid version, Toyota’s 1.5-liter gasoline engine will be paired with an e-CVT unit to power the front wheels of the Grand Vitara.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder when it comes out in the coming months.
