
Google has confirmed that it will launch the Pixel Watch 2 in India on October 5th via Flipkart. The smartwatch will be unveiled at the Made by Google event on October 4th, alongside the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones.
Google Pixel Watch 2 – New Design and Sensors
The teaser video for the Pixel Watch 2 reveals a new design and sensors. The smartwatch features a water droplet-inspired design, similar to the first generation, with a new rotating crown that is smoother and rounded. The back of the watch displays text such as “Google, Pixel Watch 2, IP68, Water Resistance 50m (5 ATM), EDA, Heart Rate Sensor, Sleep Tracking, and SPO2.” The sensors on the back are arranged in a 3×3 grid and include an EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor for stress management and tracking.
Specifications
The Google Pixel Watch 2 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chipset, most probably the Snapdragon W5 or Snapdragon W5+. Earlier rumors revealed that the smartwatch will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 (SW5100) chipset, Custom Coprocessor, 2GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC storage, skin temperature sensor, 4G LTE option and a 306mAh battery with fast charging.
Availability
The Google Pixel Watch 2 will be sold on Flipkart, similar to the Pixel smartphones. The company will also launch the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro on the same day.
