There have been several recent updates to Google Maps for Android, including the ability to see real-time train status and an air quality index. Google Maps now appears to be able to estimate your trip’s toll costs. If you’re visiting a new city for the first time and are unsure of where to go or where to stay, download the Google Maps app right away. When it comes to finding your way around while traveling, there’s no better option than Google Maps for Android. A wide variety of tasks can be performed by the device such as directing you, providing real-time traffic updates, and finding nearby landmarks.

Calculate estimated toll charges using Google Maps, Here’s How!

In the Google Maps app for Android and iOS, you can estimate the toll charges for your journey. Prior to this, Google Maps only sent notifications about the presence of tolls, but not the exact amount. Before deciding on a route, you can now see an estimate of the toll costs in the most recent version of Google Maps. Using the Google Maps app for Android, you can get an idea of how much it will cost you in tolls.

Follow the below mentioned steps,

Step 1: On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store and update the Google Maps app.

Step 2: Go to the Google Play Store and change your location. If the route you’ve chosen is taxable, you’ll have to fill in a toll price on the map.

Step3: Tap the Toll pass price icon to get an estimate of how much you’ll have to pay to drive a specific route.

Step 4: A new pop-up window will appear, listing the estimates based on toll pass rates.

Step 5: There’s also the option of avoiding tolls. To change your toll settings, tap the Change toll settings link as shown below.

Step 6: Enable the Avoid tolls toggle on the route options screen.

Step 7: Enabling the ‘Avoid tolls’ option will display toll-free roads. This option may assist you in saving money.
