Simple solution if the “Add Participant” option in an IOS WhatsApp group is unavailable.
I just switched from an Android device to an iOS device and discovered that, despite being the admin of the group, I was unable to add participants to the group or issue an Invite to Group Via Link from my iPhone.
If you’re having this problem, follow the steps below to fix it in a simple way.
This method is applicable for WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business
Step 1: Go to the App Store and check to see if there is an update for WhatsApp. If there is, update it.
Step 2: Tap the WhatsApp icon or the WhatsApp business icon.
Step 3: Open the group you want to add people to. Make sure you are the admin or one of the admin members.
Step 4: Click on the “Add group description” option, as shown in the below picture.
Step 5: Provide a description for your group as shown in the below picture.
Step 6: In the upper right corner of the screen, select “Save.”
Step 7: Simply scroll down on the group info page, and you will see two options: “Add participants” and “Invite to Group Via Link.” Choose whichever one best suits your needs.
Step 8: You will now be able to add members to your group
