IRCTC eWallet : One of the best ways to travel in India is by train. They run the length and breadth of the country, passing through some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Train tickets can be purchased through the Indian Railways’ IRCTC website. IRCTC now has a payments platform, IRCTC eWallet, that allows users to pay for their tickets using a ewallet that is very similar to other ewallets, such as Paytm ewallet.
So, if you’re planning a trip, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to load money into your IRCTC eWallet and book tickets with it.

How to Sign Up for IRCTC eWallet ?

Step 1: Loing to your IRCTC account.
Step 2: Navigate to the IRCTC eWallet section and select the Register Now button.
Step 3: The user will be given the option of verifying their PAN or Aadhaar for IRCTC eWallet registration.
Step 4: Once the verification is complete, a payment page for the IRCTC Ewallet Registration fee will appear. The fee is Rs 50, not including taxes.

Users will be logged out once the payment is complete. To recharge their IRCTC eWallets, they will need to login to their IRCTC accounts again.

How to Make a Deposit in Your IRCTC eWallet ?

Step 1: Login to your IRCTC account.
Step 2: Navigate to the IRCTC eWallet section and select the DEPOSIT IRCTC Ewallet option.
Step 3: Now choose the amount you want to transfer.
Step 4: To complete the payment, select the payment option from the dropdown menu and click the submit button.

When the payment is successful, users will see a confirmation message on their screens.

Users can deposit a minimum of Rs 100 and a maximum of Rs 10,000 into their IRCTC eWallets. Now that the funds have been transferred to the IRCTC eWallet, follow the steps below to book a ticket using the IRCTC eWallet.

How to Use the IRCTC eWallet to Book a Ticket ?

Step 1: Login to your IRCTC account.
Step 2: Choose your train, origin, destination, passenger information, and departure date.
Step 3: After you’ve gone over all of the details, book the ticket.
Step 4: Enter the captcha code and select a payment method.
Step 5: Select the IRCTC eWallet option from the payment section.
Step 5: To complete the process, enter the transaction password.
You will now receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. To confirm the transaction, enter the OTP.

The specified amount will now be deducted from your eWallet. A Rs 10 transaction fee will also be deducted from the IRCTC eWallet.
