Hyundai i20 Facelift Teased will Launch soon in India

Hyundai i20 Introduction:

Hyundai i20 is a super mini hatchback that has been produced by Hyundai since 2008. It made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2008, and sits between the i10 and i30 in Hyundai’s international line up. The i20 replaced the Getz in nearly all of its markets, while several markets received the slightly larger Accent/Verna hatchback to replace it instead. The i20 has been raising the bar in the hatchback segment ever since its inception. The car has redefined luxury in its segment and, along with Honda Jazz, can be credited for the birth of the premium hatchback segment in India.

The first generation of the i20 (PB; 2008) was produced from 2008 to 2014 globally and until 2015 in India. A slightly upgraded version of the i20, called the iGen i20, went on sale in India in March 2012 onward with tweaked headlamps, new front grille, tail lamps and fog lamps. It follows the “Fluidic Sculpture” design philosophy with slightly retuned engines.

A new next-generation model, known as Elite i20 in India, was launched in India on 11 August 2014 and in Europe at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The third generation of the i20 came at the beginning of 2020. As a result, Hyundai kept it alive and gave it a facelift in the spring of 2023.

The i20 uses a completely new platform that was created at Hyundai’s European technical centre in Rüsselsheim to allow Hyundai to move into Europe’s highly competitive sub – compact B segment. Currently, the largest markets for the i20 are Europe and India, with two different variations being developed to cater to each market.

Looking at the teaser image, we can see that Hyundai has made some changes to the front section of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchback. The teaser image of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchback reveals that the model now features reflector-type LED headlamps, a new front grille and a slightly revised front bumper. That being said, the test mules of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift hatchbacks have been spotted wearing camouflage over the front and rear sections.
