Samsung Galaxy Exynos Chipsets

Samsung will reportedly create its own unique processor for the Samsung Galaxy S-series in 2025, according to rumours. While Samsung’s Exynos chipsets appear to fit that criteria, they aren’t specifically designed for the S-series, as some of its in-house chipsets are sold to other smartphone manufacturers such as Motorola and vivo.

Samsung Galaxy S25 in 2025 to use custom Exynos SoC:

According to a fresh report published by South Korean outlet Inews24 and trusted source IceUniverse, Samsung managers are unhappy with the outcry over the Galaxy S22 series GOS incident, as well as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 chipsets’ low yields and poor heat management. As a result, a new method akin to Apple’s A-series chipsets is being considered, with the ultimate goal of having better optimised smartphones.

Custom Samsung CPU cores were used in older Exynos chipsets before 2020, but Samsung shut down their custom CPU core department in December 2019. It’s unclear whether the new chipsets will be part of the Exynos family or if Samsung is starting from scratch.
