Here are the top new Netflix Series to look out for in August

Recently, Netflix discovered itself in a perilous situation. As a result of reports that the streaming service lost 1 million subscribers in the past three months—a sharp increase from the significant losses it suffered in the first quarter of this year—the key question now is how Netflix will adjust. Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 seems to have failed in its attempt to sway general viewers despite breaking numerous streaming records.

Additionally, Netflix executives have stated their ambition to start their own huge franchises, comparable to Disney+’s MCU and Star Wars slate, which would undoubtedly retain customers’ attention. There are still several shows to be excited about even though the platform is still working through some hiccups. The top TV shows that will premiere on Netflix in August 2022 are listed below.

Never Have I Ever Season 3 from August 12

Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age drama that debuted in 2020 and received praise for its South Asian representation in Hollywood. The story centers on an Indian-American high school student who must cope with her father’s unexpected death. Devi, the main character, suffers from psychological stress that causes her to lose feeling in her legs and renders her immobile for several months.

She is forced to deal with her identity, her grief, and her school life when she is finally able to walk. The series’ seamless use of the multilingual theme gives viewers something to identify with. The next third season of Never Have I Ever will be its final one, according to The Hollywood Reporter, making it all the more intriguing.

Kakegurui Twin from August 4

A sequel to the original anime Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler is called Kakegurui Twin. Taking place a year before Yumeko Jabami transferred to the Private Academy, the prequel story centers on Mary Saotome. In this series, Mary has just started classes at the Academy, which is highly influenced by risky gambling. She begins gambling in an effort to fit in at the prestigious school, but quickly gets sucked into its dark depths.

The Girl in the Mirror from August 19

An forthcoming spooky Spanish TV show called The Girl in the Mirror was ordered by Netflix back in 2018. With actors like Lex Villazán and Pol Monen supporting her in various parts, it features Mireia Oriol in the title role of Alma. Alma, the only survivor of a bus disaster, serves as the protagonist of the story. She has amnesia and is confused when she first awakens. The show follows her journey as she tries to piece together her memories to determine what actually happened to her. We seem to have a lot to look forward to in this thrilling suspense thriller.

The Sandman from August 8

The Sandman is a fantasy drama written by Neil Gaiman and produced by DC Comics, based on the comic books published from 1989 to 1996. Dream, one of the seven Endless, and Morpheus, played by Tom Sturridge, are the major characters. Gaiman is known for fusing mythology, history, and horror, so we can absolutely anticipate a breathtaking rollercoaster journey. Morpheus, who is captured and learns that change is sometimes necessary for progress, will be the main character of the story.

A Model Family from August 12

Kim Jin-woo is the director of the upcoming South Korean television program A Model Family. The main character of the story is Dong-Ha, a father and husband who is on the verge of both bankruptcy and divorce. He unintentionally discovers cash and narcotics, but he sees a business potential in them to earn the money he requires. But in doing so, he becomes connected with the drug cartels and must learn the value of a model family in the face of all the challenges. You had better be ready for the August 12th international release because K-dramas nearly never let you down.
