Last month, OPPO launched ColorOS 13, a smartphone operating system based on Android 13. It was confirmed at the launch that the Reno8 Pro 5G beta version will be released first. ColorOS 13 Beta is now being rolled out to Reno8 Pro 5G and F21 Pro users in India.

OPPO collaborates closely with Google in the development of ColorOS 13 to add new value to the Android OS experience. OPPO has also released ColorOS Developer Versions based on Android 13 Beta, and the company will continue to work with Google to create a rich Android ecosystem. ColorOS 13 is made better by OPPO’s newest technological advances, which make it work well in all areas of life and work and add new features for smart connections between multiple devices.
About ColorOS 13
ColorOS 13 users can enjoy the brand new Aquamorphic design as well as the card-style layout. ColorOS 13 gains two significant improvements thanks to its proprietary Dynamic Computing Engine: longer battery life and the ability to run more apps in the background. OPPO has collaborated with world-class software and service providers such as Bitmoji, Spotify, Swiggy, and Zomato to deliver a variety of convenient and personalised experiences via the Smart Always-On Display. This ColorOS13 update provides users with enhanced Multi-Screen Connect and an industry-first Meeting Assistant.

ColorOS 13 incorporates the underlying privacy protection features of Android 13 in addition to its own focus on privacy and security. For example, to prevent the leak of sensitive information caused by malware, the system deletes the clipboard history after a short period of time. Also, users can connect to Wi-Fi without giving away their exact location by using the Nearby Wi-Fi feature.
The technology developed by OPPO is equally important in terms of increasing privacy and security. Auto-pixelate, which is based on an on-device algorithm model, recognises and blurs out profile photos and names in chat screenshots with a single tap. To provide high levels of security, the new Private Safe is encrypted with the widely used Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). ColorOS 13 has reliable privacy and security protections based on standards like ePrivacy, TRUSTe, ISO27701, and ISO27001.
OPPO ColorOS 13 beta update schedule
According to the schedule, more Reno and F Series devices, as well as the K10 5G and A76, will receive the ColorOS 13 beta update in India in October.
