Meta-owned Facebook has announced the launch of two new tabs, Home and Feeds, for iOS and Android users.

The tab that people open when they first access Facebook, such as Reels and Stories, is now known as Home. The Feeds tab, meanwhile, gives users access to the information created by the communities and individuals they are linked to on the network.
Also, the company says that some users will see Feeds as a tab in their shortcut bar. Depending on the operating system, this bar can be found at the top or bottom of the app.
Facebook anticipates rolling out these modifications globally over the course of the next week.
Depending on which areas of the programme users use the most, the shortcut bar’s tabs change.
Additionally, they can customise and “pin” a tab in their shortcut bar to ensure that it remains there. Feeds are where users can continue to be informed about the people and communities they care about most in Feeds, while Home is where users will increasingly find community via their interests and passions.
According to blog post by CEO Mark Zuckerberg of Meta,
We are introducing Feeds, a new tab that lets you easily see the most recent posts from your friends, Pages and groups. You can curate a Favorites list of the friends and Pages you care about most and filter their content in this new tab. We are also naming the primary tab — the first thing you see when you open the app — Home
