Official Confirmation: Future Honor Smartphones will come with Google Mobile Services(GMS)!

HUAWEI sold the HONOR brand to Zhixin New Information Technology Co.Ltd, in November 2020, a consortium comprising more than 30 agents, distributors, and the Shenzhen Smart City Development Group Co. Ltd. Honor has concentrated on reestablishing relationships with Qualcomm, Intel, and a variety of other tech firms as a newly independent brand. One of the most important missing items in the company’s arsenal was Google, and it appears that this will no longer be a problem.

On Twitter, Honor Germany confirmed the facts. In response to a query about the upcoming Snapdragon 778 phone on Twitter, the company clarified that the upcoming smartphone would support Google services. It also reported that Magic UI would remain with some new features.

Ever since the United States’ strict sanctions on Huawei in May 2019, the Honor 50 will be the HONOR’s first phone to launch with Google services. This smartphone will launch in June.

About HONOR 50 Series:

Honor 50 Series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC as confirmed by the company a week before. To add upon, the Pro version i.e Honor 50 Pro might come with 100W fast charging support while the standard version will come with 66W according to 3C certifications which were received a few days back.

On the back of the Honor 50 series, there will be a 50MP main camera encircled by a dual ring pattern. A 6.79-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, 13MP ultra-wide camera, 8MP telephoto shooter, and dual selfie cameras – 32MP + 8MP – are among the other rumoured highlights about these upcoming smartphones.
