After lots of hype, today Google officially gave us some glimpses about the upcoming Google Pixel 6 series of phones. Google Tensor, the company’s all-new proprietary processor, will power the Pixel 6 Series of devices. The new chip from Google was created specifically for Pixel phones. So let’s have an overview of all announcements from google.
Google’s Tensor SoC:
Before getting into the official renders of the Pixel 6 series which looks similar to the leaked renders, first let’s get into interesting Tensor Chip. The new SoC can handle Google’s most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) directly on the phone, according to the company. Cameras, speech recognition, and other departments are among the areas where Google claims the difference will be evident.
The company also says that Tensor is truly customized it to run Google’s computational photography models. For users, this means entirely new features, plus improvements to existing ones.
“So excited to share our new custom Google Tensor chip, which has been 4 yrs in the making! Tensor builds off of our 2 decades of computing experience and it’s our biggest innovation in Pixel to date. Will be on Pixel 6 + Pixel 6 Pro in fall.” – Sundar Pichai, CEO Google.
Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro Official Renders:
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have a design that is a change from the old simplistic style that we may have learned to love recently, as several leaks have already revealed. The redesigned rear design, on the other hand, appears aggressive and gives a hint as to what the corporation has in store for its users. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be available in three color combinations, according to Google.
The company also revealed that the Pixel 6 Pro will have triple cameras on the back, including a telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, which is a first for Pixel phones. The Pixel 6, which is expected to be the less expensive of the two, lacks a telephoto sensor.
Google announced Android 12 and the new Material You design language at its I/O event. These UI updates are grounded in the new animation and design framework — to make using your Pixel feel incredibly natural because everything runs smoothly on the Tensor chip.
Finally the company hinted about the security feature of the upcoming series which means about the presence separate security chips like it did on the previous series (Titan Security Chip) of smartphones.
‘#Pixel6 is also built with the most layers of hardware security in any phone.’
