Google launched new app icons on the Play Store that shows users what applications are being viewed in the charts. Google will also display new rank update icons in the top app lists on Google Play. Google play store has been exploring an interface that would display comparison between two or three features. A Sensor Tower analysis found smartphone spending during Christmas had increased by 35% globally.
Notably, the background time in the current rating icons is missing. This means that we don’t know how much the download rates are monitored and how many slots the app has transferred at the same time. There are just arrow marks indicating whether the app has gone up or down.
Google has been experimenting with a new feature to equate two or more apps by their functionality. The ‘Compare apps’ segment appears on a list of individual apps’ listing at the bottom of the page.
