Twitter users have desired an edit option for a long time, and it appears as though their request may well be delivered soon. The firm recently revealed that it is currently developing an edit button that will be available in the coming months to its Blue subscribers. While Twitter hasn’t revealed anything about the feature and how it will work, we now have our first look at the edit button thanks to a leak.
According to Nima Owji, who shared a GIF of the button in action based on his findings, access to the “Edit Tweet” option would be available beneath the three-dot menu at the top-right of your tweet. You may now delete a tweet or pin it to your personal account from this menu, making it an appropriate location to edit a tweet too.
Twitter Edit Feature Availability
It is unknown whether users will be able to change just a portion of a tweet or the entire content. Additionally, it is unknown how many times a tweet can be altered and whether or not other users will be able to see what was changed and when. Additionally, we have no idea how Twitter will handle retweets or quoted tweets. Until now, the firm has not said when the “edit” button will be available for testing. It doesn’t say when it will be available to the general public.
