Everyone was wondering after Honor’s separation from Huawei whether the company’s future phones would be able to partner with Google and have its services installed. Now the CEO, George Zhao, clears the doubt and says there’s no reason for the company not to partner with Google again.
The company has reported partnerships with Intel, AMD, Qualcomm and MediaTek so far, with Google being the most important name missing from the list. The company’s CEO said in a South China Morning Post interview that the two tech companies are already in negotiations.
That doesn’t explain, however, whether the recently released Honor V40 will get a global edition with Google services. However, we should know soon enough.
