The Desire 22 Pro is the newest device from the renowned Taiwanese manufacturer, which has recently shifted its focus to virtual reality (VR). HTC has finally released a new phone. A 4,520 mAh battery, 6.6-inch LCD with 120Hz, and Snapdragon 695 processor are all features of the midrange phone Desire 22 Pro. It works with HTC VR products like the HTC Vive Flow headset and the company’s Viverse ecosystem.
HTC Desire 22 Pro – A VR focused smartphone that’s VIVERSE Compatible
The main selling point in this case is the Viverse compatibility, which enables you to access virtual content from the Metaverse using the phone and an attached HTC VR headset. To help you manage digital assets like cryptocurrencies and NFTs from your phone, HTC is also bringing its Viverse Wallet.
According to HTC, its first smartphone with a built-in VIVERSE platform, the Desire 22 Pro, is capable of running 2D and 3D content on XR devices, as the company had previously announced.
A 64MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 5MP depth of field module are also included in the Desire 22 Pro. A punch hole cutout conceals a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera on the front of the device. The phone has 128GB of expandable storage and 8GB of RAM out of the box.
The 4,520 mAh battery supports 18W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging, and Android 12 handles the software side. Along with IP67 water and dust resistance, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Retail prices for the gold and black HTC Desire 22 Pro are TWD 11,990 ($404) in Taiwan and €459/£399 (Rs. 33,191 approx.) in Europe. While online and offline open sales begin in Taiwan on July 1, EU customers can place pre-orders today and start receiving their phones on August 1.
Before July 31st, early-bird buyers will receive some special bonuses, including an HTC shockproof case, an HTC wireless charger, and a special NFT gift that can be redeemed through the Viverse app.
