iQOO is gearing up to launch its next Neo series smartphone in India. The company’s India head Nipun Marya posted a teaser image with the words Neo, 7 and Pro. This hints at the name Neo 7 Pro for the upcoming phone.
iQOO Neo 7 Pro: A rebranded version of Neo7 Racing Edition?
The Neo 7 Pro launch comes after the Neo 7 launch in February. The Neo 7 was a rebranded version of the Neo 7 SE that debuted in China last year. The original Neo 7 with Dimensity 9000+ chipset is unlikely to arrive in India.
According to reports, the Neo 7 Pro in India will be based on the Neo7 Racing Edition that was released in China last year.
Neo 7 Pro: Expected specifications and features
The phone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ Samsung E5 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. However, it is rumored to use a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor instead of a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC that powers the Neo7.
The camera department is also expected to see an upgrade from a 64MP sensor in the Neo 7 to a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with OIS in the Pro version. The battery capacity of 5000mAh with 120W fast charging support is likely to remain the same.
The iQOO Neo 7 Pro might come in two variants: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB.
Neo 7 Pro: Launch date and availability
The exact launch date of the iQOO Neo 7 Pro will be revealed soon. The phone will compete with other flagship phones in the Indian market.
