Acer has unveiled the new Acer Chromebook Vero 514, the first Chromebook in its line of environmentally responsible Vero devices. This device reflects Acer’s commitment to sustainability by giving consumers and commercial customers more options that enable them to lessen their ecological footprint.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 (CBV514-1H/T) is easy to update, repair, disassemble, and recycle. It uses 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in the chassis and 50% in the keycaps, 100% ocean-bound plastic for the touchpad surface, and 90% recycled paper packaging. The fan housing inside the Chromebook and the OceanGlass touchpad, which feels smooth and responsive like glass, are both made from plastics that come from the ocean.
The new Chromebook has a longer lifespan to reduce environmental effects. Standard screws on the bottom cover simplify memory and storage upgrades. The paint-free chassis has a cobblestone grey finish and a 99% recyclable display panel. The Acer Chromebook Vero 514’s MIL-STD 810H impact-resistant shell protects it from drops as high as 122 cm (48 inches).

Thin bezels give the Acer Chromebook Vero 514 an 88% screen-to-body ratio. Chromebook’s HD flare-reducing webcam and DTS audio with Smart Amplifier deliver high-quality video conferencing.
The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is designed for creating and connecting and includes fast and dependable Wi-Fi 6E. It has two USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, and HDMI charging ports.
