At its IFA event, Amazfit unveiled the GTR 4 and GTR 4 smartwatches as the replacements for its 2021 models. In contrast to last year, there is no Pro model in the GTR series. These feature Bluetooth calling, enhanced GPS positioning, 150+ sports modes, and stand-alone music playback.
Amazfit GTR 4 and Amazfit GTS 4 Smartwatches Features:
The Amazfit GTR 4 is a round smartwatch with a tempered glass-protected, always-on AMOLED colour touchscreen that displays 466×466 pixels. It has a coating that prevents fingerprints and a bezel that reduces reflections.
Contrarily, the GTS 4 has a rectangular shape and a 1.75-inch screen “AMOLED colour touchscreen with an always-on resolution of 390×450 pixels. Although it lacks an anti-glare bezel, the GTS 4’s display is also protected by tempered glass and has an anti-fingerprint coating. Additionally, the GTR 4 has more than 200 watch faces while the GTS 4 supports over 150 watch faces.
The middle frame of each watch is made of aluminium alloy, and the bottom shell is coated in high-gloss polycarbonate. The GTR 4, however, weighs seven grammes more than the GTS 4, at 34g.
The GTS 4 has a 300 mAh battery under the hood, whereas the GTR 4 has a 475 mAh battery. Additionally, different cell sizes result in various levels of battery backup.
On a full charge, the GTR 4 can operate for up to 14 days in a typical usage scenario while the GTS 4 can last for only eight days. In a scenario with heavy usage, these figures drop to seven days and four days, respectively. Additionally, the GTR 4 can last up to 25 hours while the GTS 4 can only last up to 16 hours when using the accuracy GPS mode. Having said that, it takes both smartwatches about two hours to fully charge.
The GTR 4 and GTS 4 have different straps because of differences in their dimensions. While the latter has 20mm straps, the former has 22mm straps. The straps for the GTS 4 come in two variations: fluoroelastomer and nylon. A third option for the straps on the GTR 4 is leather.
Those distinctions between the GTS 4 and GTR 4 are sufficient. Let’s discuss the features that both watches have in common. With Zepp OS 2.0 and the customary array of health and fitness features like heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and blood oxygen level measurement, the GTS 4 and GTR 4 are available. They can also track a woman’s menstrual cycle and measure your stress levels.
Due to their shared 5ATM water resistance, the GTR 4 and GTS 4 are compatible with more than 150 indoor and outdoor sports activities, including swimming. They have support for fall detection and can automatically detect eight sports movements. Nevertheless, an OTA update will later add this feature.
The dual-band circularly polarised GPS antenna, offline music storage, and route importing allow users to import route files to the watch and navigate them in real-time, among other notable features of the GTR 4 and GTS 4. However, this will also be a later addition through an OTA.
Along with Alexa, the watches include an offline voice assistant and support for a small app ecosystem. Both smartwatches support Bluetooth phone calling, and there is game support as well.
The Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 have Bluetooth 5.0, BLE, and WLAN 2.4GHz connectivity and are compatible with Android (7.0 and above) and iOS (12.0 and above) devices.

The official website of Amazfit is where customers in the US can purchase the GTR 4 and GTS 4 for $200 (Rs. 15,942 approx.) each. The GTS 4 is available in the colours Infinite Black, Autumn Brown, Rosebud Pink, and Misty White, while the GTR 4 is available in the colours Superseed Black (fluoroelastomer strap), Vintage Brown Leather (leather strap), and Racetrack Gray (nylon strap).
While the rest of the GTS 4 models have fluoroelastomer straps, the Autumn Brown model has nylon straps.
