Amazon has released the Echo Dot (5th Generation) in India as the successor to the 4th Generation model, which was released in 2020. According to Amazon, this is the best-sounding Echo Dot yet, with deeper bass and clearer vocals than previous generations.

This also has motion detection and temperature sensors, so it can turn on a light when you enter the room or turn on the air conditioner when it gets hot. For privacy, there is a microphone off button, as with other models.
The new Echo has a 1.73-inch front-firing speaker, up from a 1.6-inch speaker in its predecessor. It, like its predecessor, replaces the spherical shape with a circular ring of LEDs on the bottom. This is housed within the same fabric exterior, resulting in crisp vocals and well-balanced bass. However, there is no 3.5 mm line out on this.
There is dual-band Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth Low Energy Mesh, and a Matter controller (Alexa Android app setup only). iOS is on the way). As usual, you can pause or resume music, snooze alarms, and dismiss timers with a single tap. You can also use the Echo Dot as a standalone speaker or pair it with your phone to use it as a Bluetooth speaker.
Pricing and availability
The Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen) is available in black, blue, and white and is priced at Rs. 5,499 (MRP), but it is currently available for Rs. 4,999 as part of a launch offer on Amazon.in.
