HONOR 70, Pad 8, MagicBook 14 and MagicOS 7.0 plans unveiled at IFA: Here all the new announcements


During its keynote address at IFA today, titled “Embracing the Connected Future,” HONOR underlined its commitment to global markets. The company unveiled a new Dual Flagship Strategy at the event in order to introduce the next foldable and all-around flagship smartphones to Europe and other overseas markets.

The company also provided a sneak peek of MagicOS 7.0, an upcoming all-scenario smart collaboration OS built on the Android platform and based on PC and IoT operating systems. MagicOS 7.0 embraces open standards to enable seamless collaboration between mobile devices, tablets, PCs, and other IoT products.

In order to strengthen its portfolio of cutting-edge devices, HONOR unveiled three new items: the HONOR 70, the HONOR MagicBook 14, and the HONOR Pad 8, which is the first HONOR tablet to be sold outside of China. In the upcoming weeks, all three goods are expected to debut in a few European countries.

HONOR Dual Flagship Strategy

HONOR will launch its foldable smartphones in foreign countries for the first time. The Dual Flagship Strategy, which was unveiled at IFA 2022, would enable HONOR to market its upcoming foldable flagship smartphones as well as its general-purpose flagship smartphones in Europe and other international markets.

MagicOS 7.0

In addition, HONOR announced MagicOS 7.0, a new operating system that offers a fluid user experience across platforms and devices. Because it is built on the Android, PC, and Internet of Things operating systems, devices with different operating systems can connect to MagicOS devices at the system level.

MagicOS 7.0 will allow users to control a HONOR laptop, smartphone, and tablet using a single keyboard and mouse in addition to new user interface modifications. Users can easily move files between devices with this capability, and they can even use their laptop keyboard to enter text into their smartphone or tablet. In Q4 2022, MagicOS 7.0 will be formally unveiled.

HONOR has announced that it has joined several IoT consortiums, including Matter and Ola, to assist develop common industry standards that enable open collaboration.

HONOR 70 arrives Globally

The HONOR 70 is the latest edition to HONOR’s high-end N Series smartphone series, designed for vlogging fans. The elegant device debuts with Solo Cut mode, which allows users to effortlessly create vlogs that highlight a certain person in a group using the device’s built-in Person Re-identification Technology. With Dual Video Streaming, the HONOR 70 can record two videos at the same time, one with a single topic and the other with the entire group.

The HONOR 70’s strong Dual Main Camera, which has a 54MP IMX800 Super Sensing Main Camera with a big 1/1.49-inch IMX800 Sensor and a 50MP Ultra-Wide & Macro camera, makes it simple to capture high-quality vlogs. The new smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G and supports GPU Turbo X and OS Turbo X, enabling smooth performance and a responsive experience across a range of heavy-duty tasks, including video editing for mobile vloggers.

The HONOR 70 is the first HONOR N Series smartphone to run HONOR Magic UI 6.1 on Android 12, and it comes in a variety of trendy colours such as Midnight Black, Crystal Silver, and Emerald Green.

The HONOR 70 will be available in several European regions starting today for EUR 549.

MagicBook 14 Specifications and Features:

The all-new HONOR MagicBook 14 has OS Turbo for the first time on a HONOR laptop, delivering considerable improvements in battery life and up to 20.8% higher power efficiency than its predecessor. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i5-12500H processor and can be configured with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 dedicated graphics card, providing lightning-fast performance whether working in the office or gaming at home.

The HONOR MagicBook 14 has a 75Wh battery that delivers up to 17 hours of standby time and supports rapid charging to provide up to 3.5 hours of uptime when operating productivity apps after only 15 minutes of charging. The HONOR MagicBook 14 is available in a sleek and elegant Space Gray colorway and will be available for pre-order in select European countries beginning today, with a starting price of EUR 1099.

HONOR Pad 8 tablet Specifications and Features:

The HONOR Pad 8 is a low-cost all-around smart device designed to meet students’ and young professionals’ work and entertainment needs. The new HONOR tablet features a 12-inch 2K HONOR FullView display with an 87% screen-to-body ratio, allowing for rich entertainment experiences on the road.

The HONOR Pad 8 runs HONOR Magic UI 6.1 with Google Play Services and comes with a large 7250 mAh battery for all-day connectivity, allowing users to stay connected at all times. The HONOR Pad 8 will be available for pre-order in several European regions beginning today, with a starting price of EUR 329.
