Today, the Honor X40 GT made its debut in China. Since the original X40 model just came out last month, this is the newest addition to the lineup. A newer version has more advanced gaming-focused features than the X40.

The 6.81-inch IPS LCD screen on the HONOR X40 GT can display images at a resolution of 2,388 by 1,080 pixels. The power button on the side of the device has a fingerprint scanner built in. The punch-hole camera in the middle of the device has a refresh rate of 144 hertz.
Camera hardware on the Honor X40 GT has three lenses and an LED flash located within a circular housing. The camera on this smartphone is a triple setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth of field lens, and a 2MP macro unit. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is available up front.
The Honor X40 GT houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU. The maximum RAM and storage capacities are 12GB and 256GB, respectively. You can extend up to 7 GB of RAM in a virtual capacity.
As it’s a gaming-focused device, the smartphone has a VC liquid cooling system to dissipate heat. It has a 16300mm² total heat dissipation area. The smartphone’s 480 Hz touch sampling rate and 144 Hz refresh rate make it ideal for gaming.

The device is powered by a 4,800mAh battery unit that supports 66W fast charging. The Honor X40 GT’s software is based on Android 12, and it is called MagicUI 6.1. The Honor X40 GT has a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with 5G wireless Internet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB-C port, and a USB-A port.
HONOR X40 GT price
The HONOR X40 GT’s 8GB + 256GB base model costs CNY 2,099 ($292 / Rs 24,035), while the 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 2,399 ($333 / Rs 27,481). You can get this gadget in three different shades of black: Racing, Midnight, and Titanium. As of now it’s only available in China and the Global rollout is yet to be confirmed by HONOR.
