A rumor from the previous week suggested that the Honor X40 series would be getting a GT variant. A teaser for the upcoming smartphone was released today alongside the company’s official confirmation that it will soon be available. The Snapdragon 888 chipset will be included in the X40 GT when it is released on Thursday, October 13, this week.

The official teaser showed that there are three cameras located on a large circular island on the back of the device. These cameras are lined up in an X-formation with the LED flash.
The front of the phone will feature a single punch hole in the center, and we have a strong suspicion that the panel will be an OLED. This is due to the fact that the less powerful and more affordable vanilla X40 already features a 120HZ AMOLED display.
The Honor X40 GT is already available for pre-registration on major online retailers in China; however, there is currently no information regarding pricing, and this is likely to be the case going forward. There are still three days until the event, which means that we anticipate learning more information and features pertaining to this phone, which is obviously only going to be released initially in China.
