The Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is without a doubt the most notable announcement to come out of HMD Global’s 2022 feature phone event today (July 12, 2022). Its design (which comes in two color schemes) is reminiscent of classic Nokia button phones, but closer inspection reveals that it also functions as a slider. A section of its back can be lowered to reveal a storage compartment for TWS earbuds.
Nokia 5710 XpressAudio Specifications, Features and Pricing:
The 5710 XpressAudio supports microSD cards with capacities of up to 32 gigabytes and includes dual 4G/LTE SIM card slots enabled by the Unisoc T107 SoC and Mocor 4G RTOS. Both its ROM and RAM capacities, 128 MB and 48 MB, are more in line with its target audience’s expectations.
Furthermore, Nokia claims that the 5710 XpressAudio can function as an MP3 player and even supports FM radio, which is becoming increasingly rare. Despite the fact that its 1,450mAh battery must also power a pair of earbuds in this scenario, the company advertises long screen-on times for its 2.8-inch QVGA screen. In light of this, it is more than a little disappointing that the new 5710 can only be charged via a microUSB port.
Those willing to look past this disparity in order to see how well this unusual use-case works out can be among the first to find out, as the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is now available for 89 CHF or €89 (Rs. 7,117 approx.) in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. The Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is the company’s first device to support Nokia’s Xpress Audio technology.
