Nothing has just released the ear (stick), the company’s second pair of truly wireless earbuds, as promised. It still has a clear look, but now comes in a charging case that you can open by twisting.
Nothing Ear (stick): Features
The Nothing Ear (stick) has a cylindrical casing that twists in place to allow access to the earphones rather than having hinges or lids. The case charges via USB-C adapter but does not support wireless charging. The earbuds have 12.6 mm dynamic drivers, AAC and SBC codec support, and a playback time of 7 hours (29 hours with the case) and 3 hours of call time on a single charge. The Ear (stick) features Bluetooth v5.2 support, an IPx54 rating, and AI Bass.
The earbuds lack active noise cancellation, but they do include bass lock technology, which evaluates the user’s unique ear canal shape and earbud fit and detects how much bass is lost when you wear them. Nothing released the Nothing X app, which allows smartphone users of other brands to customise the sound output of the Ear (stick) as well as the earbud gestures. The app also allows users to track down misplaced earbuds.
