On the occasion of India’s 76th Independence Day, Ola Electric today unveiled the Ola S1 electric scooter in India at its Mission Electric 2022 event. Ola had previously teased the release of a new product, which was assumed to be either the Ola electric car or a reasonably priced scooter. Ola also teased their electric car, which is currently under development and will go on sale in 2024, in addition to the Ola S1 electric scooter. There will only be 1,947 of the limited-edition Khaki Ola S1 Pro electric scooters available for purchase, it was also announced.
The Ola S1 has been introduced as a less expensive alternative to the Ola S1 Pro, and it will operate on the same platform and have the exact same appearance.
Ola S1 Features:
The Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro share the same platform and have the same design. Red, Jet Black, Porcelain White, Neo Mint, and Liquid Silver are the available colors. The Ola S1 Pro’s MoveOS software is also present, and it will support all upcoming updates, including MoveOS 3.0, which will be released this Diwali, and everything after that.
In comparison to the 3.97kWh of the Ola S1 Pro, the Ola S1 battery has a 3kWh capacity. The Ola S1 has a 131 km (ARAI-certified range), 128 km (True Range Eco mode), 101 km (normal mode), and 90 km (Sports Mode) range. The top speed of the Ola S1 is reportedly 95 kmph. Music, navigation, a companion app, and reverse mode make up the majority of the software features of the Ola S1 Pro.
The Ola S1 was initially introduced on August 15th, 2021, but was abruptly discontinued in January of this year amid controversy, reportedly because the company was concentrating on the more expensive Ola S1 Pro.
