Xiaomi already offers low-cost tablets for daily use and entertainment in the form of the recently launched Redmi Pad and Xiaomi Pad 5 in India. With the release of the Redmi Writing Pad, which is very affordable, the company is now trying to reach out to students. Xiaomi is offering a digital writing pad along with a stylus here.
Redmi Writing Pad: Features
The Redmi Writing Pad features an 8.5-inch LCD display for taking notes, drawing doodles, or scribbling for fun. In the box, you’ll find a stylus that supports pressure-sensitive writing. It allows you to change the size of the stroke by varying the pressure you apply while drawing or writing.
Furthermore, because the LCD screen here does not emit light, Redmi claims that it is gentle on our eyes, unlike smartphones, which can cause screen fatigue after a while. As a result, it is suitable for use by children, who can easily transport it (it weighs 90 grams). You also don’t have to be concerned about its construction, as Xiaomi uses ABS plastic for the body.

This digital writing pad is ideal for people who like to make to-do lists before starting their day. It has a small orange button at the bottom that, when pressed, clears the screen and allows you to take new notes. In addition, as shown in the image below, the pad has a cavity at the top right edge to secure the stylus.
The Redmi Pad, like other digital writing pads on the market, has a lock switch to freeze the content written or drawn on the screen. When the lock switch is turned on, no one will be able to delete the content by pressing the orange button. It also supports the ability to easily replace the rechargeable button cell, which should last up to 20,000 pages.
