
The Motorola edge 40, the company’s newest mid-range 5G smartphone in the Edge line, has officially launched in India, according to Motorola. It is not only the first device to use the new MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, but it is also the slimmest 5G smartphone in the world.

It has a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED curved screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate, a 360 Hz touch sampling rate, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It runs Android 13 and is powered by a Dimensity 8020 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

It sports a 32MP punch-hole front-facing camera and a dual-back camera arrangement with a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a macro option. The phone is only 7.49mm thick and features a metal middle frame that is incredibly thin.
The phone offers a curved vegan leather matte acrylic back option, a sandblasted aluminium frame, and IP68 ratings for dust and water protection. It has a 4400mAh battery that can be charged quickly with 68W TurboPower and wirelessly with 15W.

Pricing and availability
The Motorola Edge 40 costs Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant and is available in Eclipse Black with an acrylic back, Nebula Green, and Lunar Blue with a vegan leather back. Pre-orders have already begun on Flipkart, and it will be available on motorola.in, Flipkart, and offline retailers starting on May 30.
