Tipster Waqar Khan tweeted some high-quality renderings that give us an idea of OnePlus 9. The renders show a flat display with a hole-punch design and a camera bump on the back that has a rectangular module—similar to the one seen on the OnePlus 8T—with triple rear cameras.

Compared to OnePlus 8, renders suggest that there may be a list of improvements in OnePlus 9. The new handset, however, tends to have similar colors and shades to the successor to this year’s OnePlus vanilla edition.
Separately, LetsGoDigital has partnered with designer Jermaine Smit aka Concept Maker to offer some fresh OnePlus 9 Pro renders. New visualizations highlight the rear quad camera system, which has two prominent sensors—together with two secondary ones.

Apart from the rear camera, OnePlus 9 Pro appears to have a curved monitor with a hole-punch design. The curvature on the latest OnePlus phone also tends to be more visible than the curvature on OnePlus 8 Pro.
The new OnePlus phone is also said to have Dolby Atmos sound and an upgraded haptic feedback engine. The next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC is also supposed to be part of the smartphone.
OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are both scheduled to launch sometime in March next year. This is unlike the launch of the OnePlus 8 series that took place in April. Early launch may help OnePlus fight hard for the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Xiaomi Mi 11 series that are likely to debut early next year.
