The company also mentioned that the addition of this spatial audio feature to any stereo will help improve the cinematic experience of having immersive audio. Therefore, if the program you are watching on Netflix supports spatial audio, you should be able to experience it in that format regardless of the device you use to watch Netflix, as long as the program in question does.
Starting on July 8, the support for spatial audio will be made available across the entirety of the Netflix catalog. If you want to discover which titles are compatible with the feature, all you have to do is type “spatial audio” into the search bar. This will bring up a list of all the titles that include spatial audio, and from there you can choose which one you want to play.
The addition of support for spatial audio to Netflix’s platform brings the total number of enhancement features available on the streaming service to five. These include support for 4K content, HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Netflix’s own Netflix Calibrated Mode.

People who say things like “Hey, Netflix is too expensive for me and I don’t mind advertising” are not included in the customer base that we are catering to because “we’ve left a big customer segment off the table.” However, the Netflix service that you are familiar with will not have advertisements added. “We’re adding an ad tier for people who say, ‘Hey, I want a lower price and I’ll watch ads,'” Sarandos said. “We’re adding an ad tier for people who say that.”
