The OPPO Reno8 Z is expected to come shortly and is FCC-certified. It was also benchmarked at Geekbench, verifying its Snapdragon 695 chipset and matching at least four of its stablemates—Reno7 Lite, Reno7 Z, F21 Pro 5G, and Reno8 Lite. Also, Evan Blass (@evleaks) brings us a closer look at the phone’s design in what appears to be an official marketing shot.
Geekbench doesn’t publish all the specs, so we don’t know if it’s a different phone with the same processor. Similar to other Snapdragon 695 devices, the CPH2547 scored 687 for a single core and 1,920 for multiple cores. This phone has 8 GB RAM and Android 12, like previous OPPO phones.
The Reno8 Z 5G has three sparkling cameras on the back, which contrasts with the matte back. Blass says the Reno8 Z 5G is a renamed Reno7 Z 5G for global markets. OPPO’s Reno8 Lite has the same specs as the Reno7 Z 5G. OPPO will also introduce the Reno8 Z 5G with the same hardware and design as the Reno7 Lite and OPPO F21 Pro 5G. OPPO’s release strategy is impressive, but the rebrands are getting confusing. In the next few days and weeks, look for additional Reno8 Z leaks. If the device can be benchmarked, its release can’t be far off.
