Tonight at 10:30 p.m. IST, Google will unveil the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Google will also unveil the Google Tensor silicon chip, which will power the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones, at tonight’s event. The Google Tensor chip is a proprietary chipset that will power Pixel smartphones. Google has already announced the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which will feature a completely new design with a unique camera strip that runs the length of the phone.

Prices for the Google Pixel 6 series were recently leaked, indicating that the smartphone would start at EUR 649 (roughly Rs 56,200) for the Pixel 6, and EUR 899 for the Pixel 6 Pro (roughly Rs 77,900).

The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will ship with Google’s Tensor chip, which has been optimized for efficiency. The Pixel 6 is said to be 80 percent faster than the Pixel 5, which is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G chipset and Google’s Titan M2 security chip.
The Pixel 6 features a 6.4-inch OLED display, while the Pixel 6 Pro features a 6.7-inch LTPO display with a variable refresh rate ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. Both smartphones are expected to feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will both ship with Android 12 pre-installed.
A 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens will be included in the Pixel 6 series. The Pixel 6 Pro will also include a third camera, making it the first Pixel smartphone to feature three cameras.
Aside from the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, there are rumors that Google will unveil the Pixel Fold, a foldable Pixel smartphone, the Pixel Watch, Google’s first in-house smartwatch, and a new Nest smart speaker.
