Raj Digital is Raj Television Network’s first step into the competitive regional OTT platform. Raj Video Vision started out as a library of videotapes in 1983. In 1994, it became the Tamil satellite channel Raj TV. Since then, it has grown to include a music channel and a news station that air around the clock. At the moment, the Raj TV Network has 13 channels that show shows in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Recently, Disney+ Hotstar enabled the support of Dolby Atmos on its platform.Â
At the event that took place in Chennai on the previous Friday, Tamil music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja revealed the logo for the OTT platform. The debut of the OTT service arrives at a time when the south Indian regional OTT space is experiencing fierce rivalry between a number of platforms, including SunNXT, Aha, and Koode, in addition to the rising regional focus of big OTT players such as Amazon Prime, Sony LIV, Zee5, and others.

M Raajhendhran, Managing Director, Raj TV Network Ltd, said.
“Raj Digital will have over 1,000 movies in south Indian languages and Hindi besides webseries, popular TV shows and 11 live channels.”
Adarsh Nair, CEO of Airtel Digital, said,
“Over 500 million people currently consume content only through digital channels and 75 million consumers are paying for digital content and the number is only growing. The entire streaming infrastructure of Raj Digital OTT right from accessing the content from the cloud to streaming it on mobile is powered by Airtel.”
Raj Digital TV OTT: Subscriptions range from monthly to yearly as follows:Â
- Monthly subscription: ₹29
- Half-yearly subscription: ₹149

In addition, the company offers an over-the-top (OTT) app that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The app features live TV channels as well as hundreds of movies, videos, and news broadcasts in Tamil. The application provides access to content of a very high standard, including both classic movies as well as transactional content and support for in-app offline downloads of content.
