Record-breaking Views: JioCinema sets new global benchmark during TATA IPL 2023!

JioCinema, the popular digital streaming platform, has achieved a new global benchmark in the world of digital sports viewing with over 1300 crore video views during the first five weeks of the TATA IPL 2023. The platform has witnessed record-breaking concurrent viewership during the matches, with an average time spent per viewer of 60 minutes.

JioCinema has reported that the TATA IPL 2023 on Connected TV has reached twice the number of viewers than that on HD TV, indicating the increasing trend towards digital sports viewing. On April 12th, JioCinema clocked a peak of 2.23 crore viewers during the Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals match, which was later broken during the Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings fixture with a concurrency of 2.4 crore.

The digital platform has also witnessed a record number of advertisers signing up for TATA IPL 2023 on JioCinema, with the list of brands expected to grow further. JioCinema has partnered with 26 top brands for their digital streaming of TATA IPL 2023, with defending champions Gujarat Titans, five-time champion Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals announcing exclusive partnerships.

Jio-Cinema, which is streaming IPL matches for free, is seeing a direct benefit as digital viewing continues to grow. With the finals of the TATA IPL 2023 approaching, JioCinema’s viewership is expected to increase further, cementing the platform’s position as a leader in digital sports viewing.
