Redmi has confirmed the launch of the Redmi K60 series smartphones, which include the K60E, K60, and K60 Pro, on December 27, following teasers and rumours. Redmi confirmed the use of the Dimensity 8200 chip in the Redmi K60E during the launch of the Dimensity 8200 earlier this month.
The teaser image shows three rear cameras, one with OIS, and the other with carbon fibre textures on the sides. Earlier rumours suggested that the K60E would replace last year’s K50, the Redmi K60 would replace the K50 Pro, and the K60 Pro would replace the K50G.
According to Redmi’s general manager, Lu Weibing, the K60 Pro is positioned as the “King of Performance,” with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 integrating e-sports performance + flagship experience. According to the company, this will be a more ruthless competitor to the 2023 flagship.
Redmi says that the phone has a self-made tuning engine, that its frame rate and image quality are better than those of e-sports phones, and that it has a richer flagship experience.
He claims that the Redmi K60 is the “strongest standard version,” with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.This year, a new model called the Redmi K60E came out. It is marketed as a “flagship with light performance.”
The Redmi K60 series recently passed 3C certification, revealing 120W fast charging for the Pro version and 67W fast charging for the K60 and K60E. There are also rumours that the K60 Pro will support 30W wireless charging for the first time in the Redmi series.
