Samsung reportedly cancels the launch of Samsung Galaxy S21 FE due to huge demand for Z Flip 3

As per source — Digital Daily — from South Korea, it is confirmed that Samsung S21 FE 5G smartphone has been canceled.

An exclusive report from South Korea claims that Samsung has officially confirmed the cancellation of its upcoming Fan Edition (FE) smartphone of its S21 Series. The report also claims that this move eventually came as a result of higher demand for its Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable smartphone.

No Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Smartphone this year!

Samsung Electronics reportedly said on the 27th that the Galaxy S21FE Unpack, which was set to take place in mid-October, had been canceled. A Samsung Electronics official said, “We canceled the Galaxy S21FE online unpack, which was planned for mid-October.” “We are reviewing the smartphone launch itself.”

The Galaxy S21FE used the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 application processor as the ‘Galaxy S21 series’ and was intended to be released at a lesser price than the ‘Galaxy S21’ due to screen and camera adjustments.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is selling too well, thus the event has been canceled and the release has been delayed. Production is still falling behind on orders. The supply and demand for system semiconductors remain uncertain. There is a severe scarcity of AP. The Snapdragon 888 in the Galaxy Z Flip 3 AP is the same as in the Galaxy S21FE.

As a result, within Samsung Electronics, the argument that it is more important to focus on the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s related parts and production capacity rather than releasing the Galaxy S21FE, and the argument that it is necessary to consider the relationship with the telecommunication company that promised supply, are at odds. Roh Tae- moon’s, the chief of the wireless business division, will also be a factor.

Samsung Electronics declined to comment on the matter, stating, “It is difficult to confirm the product before to release.”
