It is also the case that unofficial information about forthcoming devices are leaked in their entirety and close their official announcements. The fact that the Galaxy S21 is now getting a flood of leaks is perhaps an indirect proof of how close its launch is. We’ve seen no lack of bits and pieces of rumors and tidbits here and there, and now the final pieces are coming down to complete the image of Samsung’s incredibly early 2021 flagships.
WinFuture’s Roland Quandt gives the last bits of information about the Galaxy S21 Ultra and gathers it in one location. There seems to be a trend around trying to make customers forget some of the shortcomings of their predecessor. If the cameras that are housed in what may be a controversial camera bump configuration are up to the challenge, we’re going to have to wait a month to see, literally.
Another discrepancy with last year’s Galaxy S20 Ultra is that the Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to have a relatively flatter screen while maintaining the curved edges. This could be to endorse the optional S Pen stylus that will also be sold in a package with an official cover. These are most likely to be sold as pre-order promos.
It is not shocking that there will still be Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 models, the latter for Europe. What may be controversial is how there is no charger in the box, at least in Germany. No AKG headphones either, which is also a bummer because you can’t quickly purchase these earbuds off the shelf.
91mobiles completes the picture with a list of prices for Europe, beginning with the Galaxy S21 at EUR 849, approximately $1,040. The Galaxy S21+ with 128GB is claimed to be cheaper than the Galaxy S20+ last year at EUR 1.049, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra has a hefty price tag of EUR 1.399. They should offer customers an idea of how US pricing is going to be, i.e. marginally higher than last year’s models, predictably as well.
