Sony introduces the LYTIA brand for its mobile image sensors

Sony

Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (SSS) has started up the “LYTIA” brand for image sensors designed for mobile devices. Sony’s future mobile image sensors will be branded “LYTIA” and promoted as such. Sony says that the name “LYTIA” comes from putting the letters of the constellation Lyra and the word “light” together.

Sony claims that its LYTIA brand image sensors are designed to provide “beyond imagination” creative experiences. The LYTIA brand, according to the company, will help people understand the benefits of the sensors and will position SSS’s image sensors as the product of choice for smartphone users worldwide.

Sony has not revealed much information about the names of the upcoming mobile sensors. Take note that the “IMX” branding can be found on the current mobile sensor, and keep in mind that some changes are likely in the near future.
