The Swedish caller ID app Truecaller revealed on Tuesday that it has updated its iOS version to provide better spam and scam defence.
The company claimed that compared to earlier versions of the app, the iOS app has been completely rewritten from scratch to be lighter, more efficient, and offers 10 times better spam, scam, and business call identification.
Additionally, the app has undergone a thorough redesign and user experience flow that speeds up day-to-day navigation and reduces the time required for initial onboarding.
According to the business, significant advancements in spam detection, SMS filtering, and community-based services will soon be made, including a redesigned number look-up widget that will make it even quicker to look up unknown callers.
The iPhone app will also get automatic blocking of the most prolific spammers, access to in-depth statistics on numbers marked as spam, and the ability to view and comment on numbers marked as spam to add context.
