In 2021, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) launched a self-KYC process to simplify the KYC process while obtaining a new connection or SIM. Finally, Vi has introduced self-KYC as the first telecom operator.
All postpaid customers in the service zones of Kolkata and Karnataka have begun using the Vi Self-KYC process, which was announced today by the telecom company.
Users of Vi Self KYC can order a new SIM card online, select their preferred plan, and finish self-KYC from the convenience of their homes in order to receive the SIM at home.
This eliminates the requirement to physically complete the KYC process by visiting a retail outlet. Vi guarantees that the procedure was followed exactly as prescribed by the DoT.
How to finish the Vi Self-KYC process and choose SIM delivery?
- Choose the desired plan by visiting the Vi website.
- Use OTP authentication on the backup mobile number, choose a number, and place your order.
- Simple self-KYC steps, including Aadhaar site authentication, should be followed.
- The user must next take at least a 10-second live snapshot or live video.
- After successful OTP authentication, the customer will receive the SIM card at their doorstep after the order is complete and digital verification is complete.
