WhatsApp Beta update on iOS brings new privacy features!

WhatsApp is testing a feature that allows users to hide their “Last Seen” status, profile photo, and “About” information from specific contacts while letting others view it. Thus, according to Wabetainfo, the feature is currently accessible for users using the WhatsApp beta on iOS 22.9.0.70. It was already included in the Android app’s beta version.

Users with the latest iOS beta update may enable this feature by going to Settings > Account > Privacy > My Contacts Except according to the screenshots below. The new feature is accessible to the user’s last seen, profile photo, and about information under the Privacy menu. However, because the functionality is being rolled out in phases, you may not see it even if you’re using the same WhatsApp version.
