WhatsApp brings new update gives you over two days to delete a message

WhatsApp today announced a new update that will allow users to delete messages sent more than two days ago. Previously, you could only delete a sent message within an hour of sending it.

If you’ve used WhatsApp for a long time, you know how convenient Delete Message is, unless you run out of time to delete an unwanted text. Users had one hour to delete previous messages, and after that, they could only delete them for themselves, not everyone in a one-on-one or group chat. No more. WhatsApp users can now delete messages for over two days. After over a month in beta, WhatsApp announced the update in a tweet.

A reliable WhatsApp leaker, WABetaInfo, says that the limit will be two days and 12 hours.
Keep in mind that the new feature will be available to all users right away, but only if both you and the other party have updated to the most recent version of the app. If you delete a message for all users after one hour, it may not be reflected for users who have not updated to the most recent version of the app. Furthermore, there is no way for you to know if the deleted message was deleted for everyone.

To update WhatsApp, simply go to the Google Play Store and search for WhatsApp. If you see an ‘Update’ button on the WhatsApp page, click it to get the most recent version. If there is no ‘Update’ button, you are already on the most recent version.
