The Chinese manufacturer of smart devices known as Xiaomi has elevated Muralikrishnan B, its chief operating officer, to the position of president to lead its India business.
Since 2018, Muralikrishnan has been working for the company in the capacity of chief operating officer. Beginning 1 August, he will be in charge of Xiaomi India in the role of president.
“Muralikrishnan B will be responsible for day-to-day operations, services, public affairs, and strategic projects in his new role as President of Xiaomi India. He will also continue to work towards strengthening the company’s commitment towards the Make in India and Digital India initiative,” Said Xiaomi
Since Xiaomi India’s former managing director Manu Jain relocated his base to Dubai, Muralikrishan has served as the company’s seniormost official, taking the helm of the company’s operations in India after they were previously managed by Manu Jain.
The promotion of Muralikrishan occurs at the same time that an investigation into the company’s possible violation of a law governing foreign exchange is being conducted by the Enforcement Directorate.
Muralikrishnan, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta, has more than 25 years of experience working in the field of consumer technology. He has been an important contributor to the expansion of the brand in a variety of areas, including offline sales, service, and operations, among others.
